Anais became very popular as a lecturer in the latter part of her life. She loved to surround herself with students and their literary sicophantism, refering to many as her "children" and revealing to them the most intimate details of her life. Talking intimately about herself and revealing her innermost thoughts, feelings and history, was something she did frequently, answering fan mail with deeply personal letters.
